What is Subtiva?
Subtiva is a creative social network. You post your photos and videos, discover other creators’ work, and can reinvent an existing creation with its author’s permission. Subtiva is available on the web (subtiva.app); the mobile app is coming soon to Google Play and the App Store.
Creating an account
Sign up with Google or with an email address and password. With an email address, confirm it using the link you receive, then choose your username: it becomes your profile address, for example subtiva.app/@yourname.
Posting a creation
Posting opens soon. From the browser, you’ll be able to post one or more photos (JPEG, PNG or WebP) with a caption, #hashtags and @mentions; the full studio — video, editing, auto captions, music — will live in the mobile app, coming soon to Google Play and the App Store. For each post you choose: public or only visible to you, comments on or off, downloads allowed or not.
Remixing and credit
Every creator decides who can remix their posts: everyone, their followers, or nobody. A remix always shows “Remix of @author” and links back to the original. Creative recipes let you reuse settings (filters, typography, layout) without copying the content, with the same credit to the author.
Protecting your account
In Settings, you can make your account private: only your followers then see your posts, and new people have to request to follow you. You also choose who can comment, message you and mention you: everyone, people you follow, or nobody.
Reporting or blocking
The “⋯” menu on a post, comment or profile lets you report content (spam, inappropriate content, harassment, child safety, infringement of your rights). The person won’t know who reported them. The moderation team reviews every report. You can also block an account: it can no longer follow you, comment on your posts or message you.
Deleting your account
In the app: Profile › Settings › Delete my account. Deletion is immediate and permanent: profile, posts, comments, messages and files. You can also request it by email; the full process is described on the Delete an account page.
Interface language
Subtiva is available in English and French. Switch languages with the selector at the bottom of the page or in Settings; your choice is remembered. Members’ posts stay in their original language.
